Utilicast will continue to support a Pacific utility company’s transition from a legacy SCADA system to a modern Energy Management System (EMS), focusing on SCADA modeling through 2024.
Utilicast will provide support for a Pacific public utility’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) roadmap and including subject matter expertise to validate the roadmap, assist in use case development, and associated requirements, and assist in developing the RFP technical sections.

Utilicast is providing advisory and delivery services to a Eastern Independent System Operator to meet NERC Standard FAC-001-4 Voltage Compliance requirements; utilizing Power System Modeling, GE EMS RTNET and PowerFlow expertise.
Utilicast will facilitate a Market Readiness Assessment to determine the major costs and efforts that would be required to participate in a wholesale electricity market for a municipal utility in the Pacific U.S..
Utilicast was selected as System Integrator for an Eastern investor owned utility’s implementation of a new Outage Management System (OMS) as part of a holistic solution that includes a new Distribution Network Model, Outage Prediction Engine, Call Taking System, Public Outage Map, and integrations to various other systems including the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Geographic Information System (GIS), Customer Information System (CIS), and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Utilicast shall provide consulting services, project leadership, and subject matter expertise to facilitate successful and timely implementation of the OSI OMS solution including integration to enterprise systems.
Utilicast is providing engineering staff augmentation for a Central regulated electric utility ongoing support of their OSI SCADA Energy Management System (EMS) within the T&D Technology organization. Utilicast will maintain/update databases, displays and advanced applications such as SCADA, Contingency Analysis, State Estimator, and Power Flow.
Utilicast is facilitating a cost-benefit analysis for a Central energy infrastructure company for installing Behind-the-Meter Battery Energy Storage Systems (BTM BESS) for the purpose of offsetting tariff-related Time-of-Use (TOU) energy and Demand Charges (DC) for 2 compressor stations in Eastern Iowa and 6 compressor stations in Appalachian Power totaling approximately 130 MW.
